In February 2025, our PHJ-0815 combined welding and straightening machine was installed and put into operation in Sri Lanka. The equipment operated continuously for 72 hours in a hot and humid environment, achieving continuous production of Q355B H-beams. The flange butt welds passed 100% of UT inspections, and the web straightness error was ≤0.15mm/m.
Previously, the customer relied on imported steel profiles from Europe, resulting in high procurement costs and logistical pressures. To achieve localized production, the customer introduced our combined welding and straightening machine and conducted on-site tests of the integrated production process, from plate assembly, submerged arc welding to heat straightening. In the production of a single 15-meter-long H-beam, the process took only 25 minutes, improving efficiency by 320% compared to traditional manual welding.
Additionally, the equipment's roller conveyor automatic positioning system addressed the plate misalignment issues encountered by Sri Lankan workers during production. This system accurately positions the plates, ensuring high efficiency and precision during production, and has received unanimous praise from the customer.
